Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Instruct and develop the drumline in technique, timing, rhythm, and performance quality
• Assist with marching band rehearsals, including drill, movement, and field performance
• Support the Head Band Director in planning rehearsals, performances, and competitions
• Help design and implement percussion parts and arrangements (as needed)
• Supervise students during rehearsals, performances, and travel
• Promote discipline, teamwork, and accountability within the program
• Assist with equipment management, setup, and maintenance
• Provide feedback to students to improve musicality and marching execution
• Support recruitment and retention of student participants

Qualifications:

• Experience in drumline, marching band, or percussion instruction preferred
• Strong knowledge of percussion techniques and marching fundamentals
• Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Head Band Director
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Must meet all district activity sponsor requirements
